Mum was one of the bravest people you could have known. As her Parkinson's disease progressed it took incredible strength of character to continue to face each day with a friendly smile, some words of advice and comfort, or maybe a joke or two. I will miss those hugs, those words of encouragement, “go and achieve, you can do it” she would say, a simple “well done” from her could make you feel like a king or just to be greeted with her loving smile would melt the worries of the day away.
